With HUGE waves, very little popularity, Playa Solmar is legendary for surfers/skim boarders. Not only is there no one there 90% of the time, the waves are equivalent if not better to places like Hawaii or other surfing. Swimming is not an option. The waves form very close to shore most of the time, making it better for skim boarders, can sometimes be unpredictable (such as flopping up in the middle of waves randomly).

Not only is this, but the beach is also backed up by a desert full of fool’s gold and contains some mini waterfalls. The whole place is super dry and hot and can reach up to 108 degrees Fahrenheit.
